Our Causes

Access to safe water and improved sanitation is at the core of PSA-T's mission. The organization implements sustainable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) programs that improve public health and enhance the quality of life of underserved communities. Its interventions include borehole drilling, installation of solar-powered water supply systems, rehabilitation of existing water infrastructure, strengthening of community water management committees, promotion of hygiene and sanitation practices, implementation of School WASH programs, and regular water quality monitoring. These contribute to reducing waterborne diseases, improving sanitation, and ensuring sustainable management of water resources.

PSA-T provides infrastructure and equipment support, and trains community health workers to improve access to quality healthcare, particularly in remote and underserved areas. Health interventions contribute to improved maternal and child health outcomes through strengthened healthcare services, increased health awareness, and enhanced access to essential medical services.

Recognizing education as a catalyst for sustainable development, PSA-T promotes equitable access to quality education for vulnerable children and young people. The organization provides educational scholarships, supports the improvement of school infrastructure, promotes girls' education and gender equality, enhances school sanitation facilities, supplies teaching and learning materials, and implements youth leadership and life-skills development programs that prepare young people to become responsible and productive citizens.

Environmental sustainability is a key pillar of PSA-T's development agenda. The organization implements programs that promote tree planting, watershed conservation, climate change adaptation and resilience, environmental education, sustainable natural resource management, and biodiversity conservation. These interventions contribute to protecting ecosystems, preserving water catchments, mitigating the impacts of climate change, and promoting sustainable use of natural resources for future generations.

PSA-T promotes sustainable livelihoods by strengthening the economic capacity of individuals and communities. The organization provides entrepreneurship and business development training, vocational skills development, financial literacy education, support for Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), climate-smart agricultural practices, and value chain development initiatives. These programs aim to increase household incomes, create employment opportunities, reduce poverty, and enhance economic resilience among women, youth, smallholder farmers, and other vulnerable groups.
